Coemsa Ansaldo was founded in 1960 as the result of operations in Brazil of G.I.E. – Gruppo Industrie Elettromeccaniche per Impianti all’Estero – Italian group of industries with great tradition and technology in the manufacturig of equipment and construction of industrial plants. Subsequently, G.I.E. has created the Ansaldo group, in Italy.
Coemsa – Construções Eletromecânicas, S.A. was born during Brazil’s industrial development era. From there, the sociaty Coemsa Ansaldo would take over significant part of the country’s power installed capacity. The plant occupied over 2,637,100 square feet, with 42,000 covered square feet.
