Transformer Concepts & Applications Seminar
Seminar Overview
In response to an industry need, Prolec GE Waukesha developed an advanced training seminar which focuses on all design and manufacturing aspects of electric power transformers. Geared to those with engineering knowledge of industrial power systems, all seminars seek to educate or refresh skills already present around specification and design, magnetic circuit, stray losses, DGA and transformer factory testing, to name a few. Seminars are non-commercial and often qualify for Professional Development Hours/CEU credits.
Dharam Vir, Vice President of Engineering, directs all Transformer Concepts and Applications Seminars. During his 35+ year career in the transformer industry, he has gained experience in all areas, from design and development of power transformers up to 765kV, shunt reactors and HVDC transformers to marketing and sales, testing, production and plant operations. Dharam is an active member of the IEEE Transformers Committee and frequent contributor to industry training programs.
